No, but I read plenty of stories about his antics over 7 years in the Plain Dealer and Akron Beacon Journal. It was well documented, but the city chose to ignore it because of what he was doing on the court.

I hear/read stories all the time. People have stories to write, I'm sure he wasn't a saint but I'm pretty sure those stories are somewhat fabricated.

True - I completely understand the desire to play with all stars instead of playing with what he had in Cleveland - even though they were constantly trying to add anyone that they thought could help. My problem with it is that it was likely years in the making, he wasn't upfront with the team (which cost them the opportunity to try and attract other free agents) and that he put his dick in the city's ass on national tv so he could feed his ego.

Correct, he should have been upfront with the cavs about leaving. The "decision" was a very shitty thing to do. The team tried to get players and NOBODY wanted to come. If nobody wanted to come and play with bron, then my question is, what free agent woulda came after they heard he wasn't staying?

If the move was planned, back from 08, and Miami broke the rules as alleged, why wouldn't you try to get whatever kind of restitution that you could? It's just trying to recoup what you can from a loss. Cubes (and every other owner in the league) would do the exact same thing if somebody tampered with one of our players.

I just think the best thing for the owner to do is truly move on. How many players are ever gonna wanna play for the cavs when the owner acts like a ass?

Consider how you would feel if Dirk was born and raised in Arlington, was hyped since he was a freshman in high school, including have games televised on ESPN, and then drafted by the mavs with the #1 overall pick at 18 and was a "local boy makes it" story. He goes on to pull the franchise out of the gutter, saying I love Arlington, this is my home forever etc etc. He takes the team to the Finals. He wins back to back MVPs before he turns 25. He leads the team to the best record in the league, and then he absolutely quits in the playoffs, mostly because he knows he's leaving and just doesn't care. Even though Dallas has spent 7 years trying to build around him, he can't be bothered to put forth his best effort. Or any effort for that matter.

And then he bails without warning, without the courtesy of telling the team or the city his plans first. He does it on national tv after every other marquee free agent has been signed. And he leaves for less money, and you found out he's been chatting with two of his buddies from the Olympics for the past 2 years, planning the move.

You'd really be fine with that?

I've already stated, the way he left, was very unprofessional/shitty. I wouldn't have any harsh feelings towards Dirk, I wouldn't make signs telling him what a piece of shit he was. Lbj took them places they never even been. Did he quit in the detriot series when he scored 25pts straight? When he battled the spurs in the finals? The guy NEVER stopped playing his game. He was physically/mentally beatdown against the celtics. It's not ok for him to act the way he did(celtic game 6) after he carried the city for so long? He was born there, drafted to play there, he gave it his all. He deserves to go anywhere he wants. I personally hate the heat and still feel robbed from the mavs series!

James sucks ass. He isn't that great of a bball player to begin with, he lacks heart. He didn't leave the cavs for a better team, look at the heat, they suck. He left because he thought with the "big 3" it would be give me championships. As you can see, 3 don't make a team. Only reason they won was because the heat were determined to win that game and that game only. Now back to their losing streak.

Heat are a work in progress. they dont have any guys in the paint that can get rebounds and create misshots by their opponets. Cavs dont have any big guys in the paint so its hard for them to score. if they did, then it might have been different last night. ive noticed that in every loss the heat have had, its because they cant stop anybody in the paint. Utah, Dallas, Boston, Orlando, etc
