Of course he can play where he wants but the way he handled it was fucking classless. C'mon, a fucking one hour ESPN "decision". Can you imagine Dirk doing something like this? If so i would hate his ass also. Not to mention, the more i have read the more of an asshole and prima donna this guy was. Throwing food back in waiters faces. Throwing his uniform on the court during practice and demanding assistants pick it up. Quitting on all his coaches. Fuck him i hope he fails.

Were you there when he threw food at the waiter, uniform on court, quitting on his coaches? The guy can play where the fuck he wants. Sure, I agree the "decision" was classless. Everybody blasting this guy because he left for a better team are jokes. The owner said he was, "way over James" and yet he just hired a company to go over lbj/heat talks for tampering. Let the man play ball, stop hating. If Dirk left D, would we all cry about him being a coward/sellout? I personally wouldn't, he gave our team everything he had.

The crowd showed up, too bad the team didn't. That was pretty ugly, but I kind of knew it was coming. Lebron plays much much better with a chip on his shoulder - if he could figure out how to motivate himself to play at that level all the time, he'd be unguardable (and still a selfish, ego-maniacal child).

I'm really surprised nothing happened when he did the powder throw - security must have been very tight. Not much to look forward to for the rest of the Cavs season now, maybe sneak in as the #8 seed and get swept out. They have a couple of nice young pieces, but they need to get rid of all the bad contracts and senior citizens and hope to get lucky in the next few drafts.

No, but I read plenty of stories about his antics over 7 years in the Plain Dealer and Akron Beacon Journal. It was well documented, but the city chose to ignore it because of what he was doing on the court.

True - I completely understand the desire to play with all stars instead of playing with what he had in Cleveland - even though they were constantly trying to add anyone that they thought could help. My problem with it is that it was likely years in the making, he wasn't upfront with the team (which cost them the opportunity to try and attract other free agents) and that he put his dick in the city's ass on national tv so he could feed his ego.

If the move was planned, back from 08, and Miami broke the rules as alleged, why wouldn't you try to get whatever kind of restitution that you could? It's just trying to recoup what you can from a loss. Cubes (and every other owner in the league) would do the exact same thing if somebody tampered with one of our players.

Consider how you would feel if Dirk was born and raised in Arlington, was hyped since he was a freshman in high school, including have games televised on ESPN, and then drafted by the mavs with the #1 overall pick at 18 and was a "local boy makes it" story. He goes on to pull the franchise out of the gutter, saying I love Arlington, this is my home forever etc etc. He takes the team to the Finals. He wins back to back MVPs before he turns 25. He leads the team to the best record in the league, and then he absolutely quits in the playoffs, mostly because he knows he's leaving and just doesn't care. Even though Dallas has spent 7 years trying to build around him, he can't be bothered to put forth his best effort. Or any effort for that matter.

And then he bails without warning, without the courtesy of telling the team or the city his plans first. He does it on national tv after every other marquee free agent has been signed. And he leaves for less money, and you found out he's been chatting with two of his buddies from the Olympics for the past 2 years, planning the move.

You'd really be fine with that?

I didn't lose any sleep over the whole deal, it was just disappointing for me to see the self appointed savior of the city, "the chosen one", "the king", decide to kick a city in the teeth instead of having an ounce of class on his way out the door.

James sucks ass. He isn't that great of a bball player to begin with, he lacks heart. He didn't leave the cavs for a better team, look at the heat, they suck. He left because he thought with the "big 3" it would be give me championships. As you can see, 3 don't make a team. Only reason they won was because the heat were determined to win that game and that game only. Now back to their losing streak.

I don't care one iota about basketball, so Lebron James' autobiography is not high on my "List of Shit I Actually Give Two Fucks About."

You don't have to know anything about basketball, or his life. He's a black male. Run with it!

Now you can continue to be a fair weather fan, and cry when your squad of senior citizens gets bounced out in the semis. Probably a Steelers and Yankees fan too...
