Something tells me he will end up transferring. Whatever surgery he had on his shoulder is just some minor deal, but is being used to get him a medical redshirt so he can transfer and have two years left to play elsewhere. Actually, since he didn’t redshirt as a Freshman, he might be able to simply get a 'normal' redshirt? Kinda like Marquise Goodwin was planning on doing before he changed his mind this year.

Of course he did, but there's quite a range of levels of surgery. For all we know, he could have had a little "maintenance" done on something that happened in high school, or even a mole removed.
