Get out of here with all that logic! He's going to the U, and goddammit he is going to win a championship in 3 years!

I'll lay some big fucking money down on that bet. Don't let your mouth write a check your ass can't cash.

We all know the power of the all mighty dollar always wins out on decisions between dealing with a prick or making tons of money.

Actually I am a Longhorn and I can't stand Tech. I do think Leach is a great offensive mind and a great coach.

You read way too much into what the media puts out about him. Have you ever actually talked to him? I doubt it. I have and I can say he is eccentric but not cocky or arrogant.

While i like leach he was not able to win a big 12 South championship, much less conference championship. what do you base your absolute certainty on him winning an ACC title?

No, I haven't. But I know guys that have played for him. Popular opinion is the popular opinion for a reason. Kinda like stereotypes exist for a reason.

So, because you talked to him ONCE, you know that he isn't cocky or arrogant? Maybe you ment, he doesn't seem cocky or arrogant?

                  Fixed.

Don't get me wrong, I think the guy got fucked hardcore at Tech. But Tech was his only chance, and even before his firing none of the big Universities wanted anything to do with him. Every time a big job came available, his name came up, and Leach came up emptyhanded every single time.

And whoever it was that said he failed to win a Big XII title at Tech, hit the nail on the head. Sure, all the nuthuggers can say "But he had to compete with two top 10 programs within his same division, blah blah blah."

The proof is in the pudding, folks.

i'll go one further. Even in Tech's BEST SEASON EVER, not only could he not win a big12 title, he couldn't even win the south

It was more than one time 5 minute conversation. I have met him numerous times and base my opinion on that.

It's obvious that he never won the south. Competing with UT and 0U will do that to any program blah, blah, blah. He did more with less alent. He never signed a blue chip player because it was Tech and all of the 4-5 star guys go elsewhere for more exposure. Crabtree was the closest that he had. Look at some of the numbers from the QB's and receivers that he had and they were 3 star or less recruits.

I guess we will just disagree. We are looking at it from 2 different perspectives. I am looking at it from a coaching perspective and you are looking at it from a personal perspective.
If he goes to UM and brings on a decent DC he will win the ACC title in his third year. He will have had enough time to coach up a QB for 2 years and the quality of the recruits will continue to be the same because it's the University of Miami and they will be athletically head and shoulders above anything he got while at TTU.

It was a tie and both UT and TTU got screwed due to that sham of a system called the BCS but that is another story all together.

No, not a tie. One team went on to play in the Big XII Championship, and two didn't. That's not a tie.

Leach was a great fit at TT. He's a bit of a nut, but it really worked for him at Tech, and was well liked by fans and players. He got screwed by an Ex-NFL daddy and his spoiled kid. Tuberville might be fine, but Leach had Tech at a different level. That said, I don't know if his personality would fit with a big Florida school.

Ok? Your point? He runs a spread offense. So do many other coaches in the NCAA. In the spread offense, you get outrageous numbers. Period. Where a recruit is ranked means next to nothing when you run a spread offense. He's no genius, he's no gift to football, and he's never done anything that someone else hadn't already done. So he ran a spread offense. Big whoop. Didn't run it well enough to win his division, much less his conference, not to mention a National title.

Like I said, even before his firing, nobody wanted anything to do with him, and he was passed over on LOTS of jobs. Now, he's been out of the game a full season, and STILL nobody wants him. This 'win a championship in his third season' is a load of seriously delusional dreams. Nothing more, nothing less.

It's easy to put up big numbers when you throw the ball 60+ a game
