This is a story so wacky, so unbelievable, so incredible, and so improbable, that it can only be true. Author Joe McGinniss has a book about Sarah Palin coming out called The Rogue: Searching for the Real Sarah Palin. The National Enqurirer passes on one of the juicier details from the book. Ready for this one? They say Sarah Palin once had a one-night stand with former NBA and Michigan hoops star Glen Rice in 1987. From the National Enquirer:
" Sarah hooked up with the NBA great, then a 6-foot-8 junior at the University of Michigan when he was playing in a college basketball tournament in Alaska in 1987, the book says. At the time, Sarah, just out of college, was working as a sports reporter for the Anchorage TV station KTUU.
A publishing source told The ENQUIRER that McGinniss claims Sarah had a “fetish” for black men at the time and he quotes a friend as saying Sarah had “hauled (Rice’s) ass down.”
The magazine adds that Palin got married to her husband nine months later, and that he was very much in the picture at the time of the one-nighter. They also say Rice confirms the one-night stand in the book.
Rice was a stud at Michigan before becoming a three-time All-Star in the NBA. If you asked me to come up with a more random pairing, I could not do it.
Your inclination may be to doubt the National Enquirer but I caution you to deny their information. Remember, they were right on when it came to this blockbuster story, and they were ahead of the curve on this one too. I have no reason to doubt the truth of this spectacular bombshell.
