Read presidential memoirs, they all get shocked when the first $10-15k bill for food shows up.

Regarding the mantion and limo, it's not really a matter of choice. They have to reside in the White House and they have to ride in what the secret service provides.

Now the vacations and overseas trips, those are an extravagant waste of money. Why did Obama need to visit Ireland? It's not like they can vote for him or helped keep the British on our side. If he wants to travel somewhere it should be Israel or Iraq or even Kurdistan to show our support.

Yeah that is true, I've held it together through those times. Only ever had to throw punches when a few guys were grabbing my sister and then when some drunk punched me in the back of the head, lol.

It used to be cool until your fellow Feagles fans threw snowbatteries at our team and coach and booed Santa. After that we knew we had to retaliate against anyone wearing green.

Just a little FYI, in order for this not to happen again, I suggest wearing a Cowboys cap and Eagles jersery, that we will know that you live here and did not make the flight from Filthydelphia...

Your point? I've had the same things done to me by fans of other teams, at Cowboys stadium. And it typically happens when said other team loses.

I know you're trying to take a dig at Cowboys fans here, but the fact is, it happens everywhere. It just happens more in Philly, the city of "brotherly love".

Yeah, I don't blame the Marine one bit for what he did - especially if he was young. I also find it highly disrespectful to not stand for our flag/National Anthem. IMO, the National Anthem is more to the country and is independent of any religion.

Either way though, this is one of those times where you HAVE to restrain yourself. We can't pick and choose what freedoms (that are legal) people decide to use. Now, you don't have to be all smiles and such to the folks who disrespect our country. However, you cannot legally assault them.

It really sucks. I also sometimes wonder why people do it. Do they feel THAT strongly about their own beliefs or are they TRYING to antagonize people.

Also, I'm going to google it - but is it true that JWs don't stand for the anthem? That'll give me a lot of ammo to bulldog them off my property the next time they come around (if they do, it has been awhile)... It'll be fun.

Yeah, but the only "threat" he gave was that he wouldn't stand up if the other guy wanted out. The article doesn't say who started the fight either.

Not taking a dig at anyone, just as you stated... it happens everywhere in the NFL. I go to games in Philly, I wouldn't say it happens more there than anywhere else. They dont have a lot of road team fans in the Linc for games. It's just blown out of proportion as most things in life tend to be.

Fact is most games I've gone to here, nothing happens, most fans walk away thanking me for being courteous and knowledgeable about football. No need to talk shit or start shit, I'm just there to cheer for the Eagles. It's always the drunken douchebags that want to start something if they are getting blown out..... or doing the blow out. Which thankfully has only happened once in recent years here in Dallas.

I'll be in Philly October 30th for the Sunday night Eagles vs Cowboys matchup. If Dallas keeps playing well it's going to be a great game. Can't wait for that atmosphere. If anythig crazy happend fan wise, I'll record it and show ya, doubt many Boys fans will be there.

He threatened him and started a fight over the guy's freedom to not stand for the flag.

There's a whole bunch of derpderp Amurka! goin' on in this thread.

                            Threatened him?
"So the Marine tells McKelvey he better not have to get out of the row ’cause he won’t let him out."
Does that really constitute a threat? More like the Marine exercised his right to not stand for a guy that chooses not to stand for the flag. And again, the article doesn't say who started the fight, but the guy that didn't stand had a taser.

Yes, it constitutes a threat. How else do you think it's going to play out?

If he'd said, "you'd better stand up, or else!" or stopped at "you'd better not have to get out!" I could see it as a legitimate threat, but not standing up to let the guy out? He's being a dick, but I don't think that's threatening the guy.
