Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

Actually, Jody has been quite kind compared to the venom I've been spewing about the "college kid" Gilbert. For the most part, sons' of pro ball players have this sense of entitlement that irks the shit out of me. We saw it with Chris Sims (and his cry-baby daddy Phil), saw it at Tech with Craig James' son (which led to Leachs' demise), and now Garrett Gilbert, whose daddy was back-up to a guy that couldn't win a Super Bowl in 5 attempts (Jim Kelly).

Little Shipley looks like a player.

I dont know how long that 2 system qb is gonna work for UT though, but its a lot better then Gilbert

Ash is a total badass, the only problem is he's a freshman and still makes Freshman mistakes. I'm sure the playbook just got a little bigger for him. McCoy surprised me, but I think will need more help along the way.

I don't know how long the 2qb system will work but I don't really care as long as they win. Cause this year, it doesn't matter how pretty it is, as long as they get the W

There's a huge difference between critiquing the guy and just talking shit like grade school. As I can see with his response, he's still working it out.

Honestly, I hate seeing Gilbert in the game. I cringe watching him play and far prefer what I was seeing out of Ash on Saturday.

Here's my deal...if you're "rebuilding" (6 coaches, 18 freshman, etc), then by God, let's REALLY rebuild! That includes replacing a losing QB who has proven nothing. When he was in, it was a continuation of last season. Nothing had changed.

What about when you're a die hard UT fan, and it would take a month non stop to critique everything that's wrong with him? He's a frustrated fan. And that is perfectly understandable. I can't imagine how painful his tenure has been to watch for the Texas crowd. It's been painful for me to watch, and I fucking HATE UT.

I'm just glad D.J. Monroe is getting more than one touch per game so far. God Damn Gregg Davis

Davis didn't need a running back for about 8 years because of Young, then McCoy. He was a lazy bastard. He thought Gilbert fit the same mold, and never prepared otherwise.

Yep, but let's not forget about Jamaal Charles, he's the reason for some of those wins in 07. Too bad he didn't come back for his senior year

Case McCoy, from what I saw is a better QB than Ash...who is not bad at all. Unfortunately I was at work, so I only got to see a play every once in a while. Again though, there's a chemistry with the McCoy's and the Shipley's. I'm not sure if Case is gonna have the legs that Colt did, but he is a sophomore and I'm willing to bet that they work on that in the offseason. Between him, Brown, and a possible Jonathan Grey next year...the run game of UT could be scary. Gotta work on the O-line though, too. I have a feeling that the next two years of Longhorn football are going to be VERY fun to watch, and this season will be interesting as far as watching this young team develop.

So glad that Gilbert is out. I called it early last season. His release is just too slow and while he has a strong arm, it's not a very accurate arm. I hope the best for him, but he just couldn't cut it at the next level.

Hook 'em mother fuckers. Four dubya's away from a bowl game.

I like how Case trust Jaxon to get to the ball, but throwing into double a triple coverage, yikes. Let's hope he doesn't get lil shipley killed lol
