  • NFL by divisions

What a mediocre league. Breaking down every team and division really shows you how bad most teams really are.

    AFC
East---There are two good teams obviously. So this is a "strong" division, but you still have questions about the good teams. Is Sanchez really good enough to make the Jets AFC contenders? Are the Patriots too old? Age is going to catch up to NE and I think this is the year it happens.
    Buffalo Bills
    Miami Dolphins
    New England Patriots
    New York Jets

North - Just like every year, this is a two team division as well. You really can't find too many holes with either team. I can't figure out why Flacco hasn't made that offense explosive in the passing game with what he has.
    Baltimore Ravens
    Cincinnati Bengals
    Cleveland Browns
    Pittsburgh Steelers

South -With Peyton down, a Mccown starting for Jax, and Matt Hasselback in Tennesse, how does Houston NOT win this division?
    Houston Texans
    Indianapolis Colts
    Jacksonville Jaguars
    Tennessee Titans

West--Not one proven, solid team in this division. Who knows what happens here. San Diego should win, but they never are consistent, and KC is too new to gauge.

    Denver Broncos
    Kansas City Chiefs
    Oakland Raiders
    San Diego Chargers

    NFC
East -You would think Philly should have this division, but their O-line SUCKS. So, really, is there a strong team here?
    Dallas Cowboys
    New York Giants
    Philadelphia Eagles
    Washington Redskins

North -Green Bay is going to be good again. But people forget they barely made it in the playoffs last year. Who knows if they can keep up their play. Chicago and Detroit are unpredictable, and Minnesota doesn't look very scary anymore.
    Chicago Bears
    Detroit Lions
    Green Bay Packers
    Minnesota Vikings

South -This may be the ONLY division with 3 good teams. No telling who wins.
    Atlanta Falcons
    Carolina Panthers
    New Orleans Saints
    Tampa Bay Buccaneers

West - Never heard of any of these teams.
    Arizona Cardinals
    San Francisco 49ers
    Seattle Seahawks
    St. Louis Rams

Seriously, ONE division with three good teams. One division with nothing but mediocre teams. And all the others have one good team or a good team with another "maybe good" team in the mix. It really makes you see how questionable almost ever team is.

    NFC

    East-
    1. Dallas Cowboys - We seem to be at our best when expectations are low, plus we got rid of a lot of stale old vets
    2. New York Giants - Solid team, but a below average QB. Will make playoffs as wildcard
    3. Philadelphia Eagles - Most overhyped team since the Heat, but won't make it as far as they did.
    4. Washington Redskins - Still trying to find themselves, but it won't happen anytime soon

    West-
    1. St. Louis Rams - Will be average, but that's good enough to win this division. Bradford gives them the edge they need.
    2. Arizona Cardinals - Will go down to the wire with St. Louis, but fall short
    3. San Francisco 49ers - Gore, Crabtree, and V Davis will do what they can but the 9ers have no QB to keep the offense going
    4. Seattle Seahawks - Tarvaris Jackson as QB, lmao. I wonder if they will when any games

    North-
    1. Green Bay Packers - Defending SuperBowl champs, will get the division this year too
    2. Detroit Lions - Going to take a big step this year
    3. Chicago Bears - Will return to mediocrtity, last year was a fluke
    4. Minnesota Vikings - McNabb is washed up, no more S Rice. Will be OK but not good enough for a "strong" division

    South-
    1. Atlanta Falcons - Will be one of the best this year
    2. New Orleans Saints - Will be fighting ATL all season, won't win the division but will be a wildcard
    3. Tama Bay Buccaneers - Getting better, but not good enough
    4. Carolina Panthers - Cam Newton = JaMarcus Russell, the rest of the team isn't good enough to cary the load for him. Panthers pick #1 again next year

    AFC

    East-
    1. New England Patriots - Still the AFC East team to beat
    2. New York Jets - Right there with the Pats, will be a great team but not take out NE. Will make wildcard though
    3. Buffalo Bills - Will continue to be the Bills
    4. Miami Dolphins - Team is in complete dis-aray. Henne is QB, Bush is starting HB, D is suspect, and they released their best player in R Brown

    West-
    1. San Diego Chargers - The only strong team in the division
    2. Kansas City Chiefs - Making big strides, but not quite there yet.
    3. Denver Broncos - Getting better, but needs to fix their QB situation
    4. Oakland Raiders - Still trying to recover from JaMarcus Russell

    North-
    1. Baltimore Ravens - Will finally beat out the Steelers, thanks in part to the shit talking that Pitt has been doing all off-season
    2. Pittsburgh Steelers - Will be a solid team, but seems to be having some locker room problems. Will still make wildcard though
    3. Cleveland Browns - Getting much better. Will make a push this year, and be a contender in the next couple of years. But won't quite make it this season
    4. Cinncinati Bengals - Bad team, needs to get rid of ownership to get any better

    South-
    1. Houston Texans - Becoming the class os the AFC South, move aside Indy
    2. Indianapolis Colts - With Peyton out for however long, Colts will miss play-offs for the first time in a long time. They are starting their decline
    3. Tennessee Titans - Will get better next year with Locker starting, but will have a down year this season
    4. Jacksonville Jaguars - Starting McCown, no-one to help MJD, not going anywhere anytime soon, unless that place is LA

        AFC EAST
Patriots - Adding ochocinco and haynesworth beefs up both sides of the ball.
Jets - Playoff team, but i dont know if they can make that jump to the super bowl.
        Dolphins - No QB IMO
Bills - they have heart, but no playmakers.

        AFC North
Steelers - Defending conference champs didnt lose any key players
Ravens - Playoff team, but IDK if they can get passed the Steelers in the playoffs.
Browns - They are on the rise with McCoy, but still need help.
Bengals - Welcome to the NFL Andy Dalton, couldnt have gone to a worse team.

        AFC South
Texans - With Manning out, they should be able to finally win the South
Colts - Season depends on how long Manning is out.
Jaguars - Release Garrard will hurt them
Titans - No Fisher, no chance in hell.

        AFC West
Chargers - Key guys are healthy w/ Jackson, Matthews, and signing Spikes.
Chiefs - Will have a slide compared to last year, but still a good year.
Raiders - Still not a good situation at the Qb position
Broncos - Orton is underrated as a QB in this league.

        NFC East
Eagles - Added players, didnt lose key players
Cowboys - Playoff Team Can see them being SB contenders with their O Line and their Secondary like it is.
Giants - They still have the same problems as last year.
Redskins - Good luck with Rex Grossman.

        NFC North
Packers - Still going to be the top dog in the division
Lions - Dont think they are a playoff team but they will improve a bunch if Stafford is healthy.
Bears - Cutler will be pinned on a wall at the end of the year.
Vikings - Adrian Peterson cant do everything for the Viks.

        NFC South
Falcons - They improved on both sides with Edwards and Jones.
Saints - Offense is still good, but IDK about their defense.
Buccaneers - Still a good team, but IDK if they can pass both the Saints and the Falcons
Panthers - Welcome to last place Cam Newton.

        NFC West
Rams - Quietly added players on both sides, and looked good in preseason.
Cardinals - IDK if Kolb can make the Cardinals a playoff team, but they will be better.
49ers - They will not win until they get a better QB than Smith.
Seahawks - What do they see in Tavaris Jackson? Seriously?
        Los Angeles Rams 11-5
Last Game - Loss vs. San Fransisco
        Up Next - vs. Atlanta

Orton may be underrated as a QB but his rating as a leader is spot on - he sucks at it.

true, but I just dont think people dont give him much respect. Even his own team dosent when they we're rumors of Tebow being the starter. He has been a good QB over the last 2 years. Which is impressive being what he was in Chicago.

              NFC

              East-
              1. Dallas Cowboys -probably going to suck ass again this year but I see them as being in a transition stage
              2. New York Giants - outstanding beast of running backs, ageing defense, qb that just isn't right
              3. Philadelphia Eagles - not sure if their new defensive coordinator is the right fit If they can get their defense straightened out and get vick to settle down they will be in the super bowl
              4. Washington Redskins - really think they should have went with beck as their QB, just not sure what to make of this team or its coach

              West-
              1. St. Louis Rams - Will make the playoffs but will not go far
              2. Arizona Cardinals - kolb will need another year to gel with his new team
              3. San Francisco 49ers - some good talent just needs direction
              4. Seattle Seahawks - possibly the biggest dissapointment in the NFL

              North-
              1. Green Bay Packers - great team, will make playoffs
              2. Detroit Lions -so stoked about this teams possibilities this year just need stafford to stay healthy
              3. Chicago Bears - EHHHH
              4. Minnesota Vikings - I think Mcnabb will be good this year he has a great running game so it make take some pressure off of him

              South-
              1. Atlanta Falcons - matty ice enough said the guy is an amazing QB
              2. New Orleans Saints - will be decent I say maybe 8-8
              3. Tama Bay Buccaneers - maybe in the next couple of years they may make a move
              4. Carolina Panthers - will need a season to grow

              AFC

              East-
              1. New England Patriots - FAGS
              2. New York Jets - will be the east team to beat
              3. Buffalo Bills - to bad brad smith went to this shitty team
              4. Miami Dolphins - its the dolphins they will suck for a few years to come

              West-
              1. San Diego Chargers - will be the team to beat in the west
              2. Kansas City Chiefs - improves
              3. Denver Broncos - THEY ARE FUCKED
              4. Oakland Raiders - will suck until al davis dies and then have the same staff for 2 seasons

              North-
              1. Baltimore Ravens - Will win the super bowl
              2. Pittsburgh Steelers -I foresee big ben getting hurt
              3. Cleveland Browns - will be a good contender later in the season
              4. Cinncinati Bengals - Andy Dalton should just quit or fake an injury this team has nothing

              South-
              1. Houston Texans - will be the team to beat in the south
              2. Indianapolis Colts - I have a feeling that manning is out for a long time possibly early retirement the man can not even lift 5lbs with his arm I think they will pick up garrard or another QB to pick up where collins(will not make it the full season) left off and take a few seasons to get back to where they once were
              3. Tennessee Titans -really feeling good about this team this season things look good for them
              4. Jacksonville Jaguars -jags are going to shit

maybe.. I wonder if andy reed could get creative with both vick and young in some sort of wildcat style offense.. Reed's job has to be on the line by now with all the money the owners have spent and no ring... maybe im way off.. I'm a hardcore cowboys fan and i think dallas will be 2-2 the first four games and get nothing but stronger as the season continues as long as the key players stay healthy.. romo feels really safe throwing to witten as he should.. bryant should explode this year too..

I don't see Cleveland making it this year.

For some reason I want to say someone on the radio said for the last 15 years there have been at least 5 new teams in the playoffs.
