And if they cut him, they HAVE to honor the guaranteed portion of the contract. So essentially, they get paid for work they didn't perform in cases where the player is cut. You are aware of how this works, aren't you? Owners can do that. They are the boss! They, in essense, are running a company. When an employee underperforms, or is drawing too much salary, it's time to make a move. They can fire a player just like your boss can fire you.
Everyone honors contracts. If you don't, you get sued, and lose. Do you know how football works, or are you making a lot of assumptions about things you don't know about?
I don't give a damn what he's done on the field. He pulled this same shit last year, and got a new contract. It was good enough for him to sign last year, but now he can't play for what they are paying him? Why the fuck did he sign it last year then?
well, brent beat me to it.
boss man pays up when he cuts your ass, so you still make $$
lol really, they signed Scandrick to a 5 year deal worth 27 million? What the heck do they see in him? Its not like he has this amazing potential. He's the 3rd best CB on the team behind Newman and Jenkins. Let me say that again, HE IS BEHIND NEWMAN. Thats not really good
