I saw every TCU game on TV I'm pretty sure. And they will get one year with TCU in the MWC I believe.

Pretty good move short term, but if they ever want to be considered as one of the bigger schools in the state on a PERMANENT basis they'll need to eventually play in the same conference as UT, A&M, OU, etc.

Bring back the SW conference lol....minus all the scandals.

I'm all for whatever it takes to get them on the field against the Buckeyes. It's never going to happen in the MWC, unless they both go to the national championship game.

The Big East is more of a basketball conference than a football one. But you have West Virginia, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, South Florida, and Rutgers who have made noise in the past.

I read in the dallas morning news is that a bowl bid from the MWC is about $800,000 to TCU. The same thing for the Big East is 17,000,000! A very big difference! Also, the profit sharing of the Big East will really help, as well as exposure of TCU on a national level. In my opinion, I dont think the Big East will know what hit them.

Turns out there really wasn't much motivation for the Big 12 to court them or TCU to look at the BIG 12. The big 12 right now is on shaky ground only held together because Texas didn't vamoose. The Big 12 also already has the DFW metroplex on lockdown for fans so it doesn't really need TCU.

Another big benefit is they don't have to go undefeated to get a BCS bid.

Also, the talks about getting exposure for basketball will be great long term for the program. Short term TCU will probably get murdered, but recruitment wise it will be great.

I think big 12 should have gone after TCU. Big 12 could have gone after Houston as well and moved OU/OSU to the North division. I know Houston is no powerhouse, but how long has it been since Colorado has been relevant.

I think the Red River Shootout will probably keep UT/OU together for a long time.

I think one of the big reasons why TCU went to the Big East is because now they are in a conference where they will get a BCS bid if they win the conference. Not like now where you have to go undefeated just to get in the conversation. They could be 10-2 and have a chance where now if they go 10-2 its just a regular bowl game.
