Has he said that he is? I'll say this. I don't believe he will, or even can afford to land Asomugha. That said, Jerry has never lost a free agent that he wanted. So if he wants him, and can find a way to make it work financially, there is no doubt in my mind that he will get him.

Not surprising. You're as dumb as a bucket of hammers.

I wouldn't be surprised if they try to re-sign one of the two OL.

Just heard something about it on NFLHD but it was just speculation as they talked about Barber, Williams and Davis being cut.

I can see Rob Ryan whispering in Jerrys ear though. It will take ALOT of work though with the cap.

What happens if Jerry goes over the cap? Can the NFL call the contracts void or will they have to carry that into next years cap or what? Im sure Jerry made sure there was some loop holes he could exploit in that cap ceiling somewhere.

Ahh, just rumor mill crap then. All the cuts to this point, were to get them down near the cap. As they were $17 million over before ever even heading to training camp. And of course, there are still current players they have to re-sign, plus needs to address in free agency. That's all that was, a money move. There is a recap above of what each player cost, and saved them on the salary cap. You have to remember, they decreased the salary cap from last year's amount. First time in NFL history that has happened. So everyone that was close to the cap last year will have a little of this work to do.

I don't know about the NFL voiding contracts. I do know, there is a provision in there for teams like the Cowboys, who were over, that they could borrow money this season, but it will count against a future year's salary cap. Obviously, he wouldn't want to mortgage a future salary cap, but there may be no choice by the time it's said and done.

I dont know if this has been stated already, but this is what I have read and found out through the day.

The Redskins agree to trade Donovan McNabb to the Vikings in exchange for a 6th Round pick in 2012 and possibly in 2013. This deal also hinges on if McNabb accepts a new deal that is less money.

Seattle is interested in Vikings WR Sidney Rice.

49ers and Alex Smith have agreed to a new 1 year 5 million dollar deal.

The Seahawks have signed Tavaris Jackson who was previously with the Vikings.

Cowboys have cut Roy Williams, Marion Barber, Leonard Davis, Kris Brown, and likely Mark Columbo. Columbo could be back if he signs a new deal.

Takeo Spikes isnt staying with the 49ers, reportedly has a new deal with the San Diego Chargers.

Broncos are shopping Kyle Orton, Bengals, Vikings (not likely if the trade for McNabb goes through), Titans, Cardinals, Seahawks, Redskins, and Dolphins.

Nick Barnett isnt resigning with the Packers.

The Bengals have said that they aren't looking to trade Palmer, they are likely going to see and call Palmers retirement bluff.

Ravens have cut Derrick Mason, Willis McGahee, and Todd Heap.

Apparently the rumor that the trade between Cardinals and Eagles isn't a done deal, if it was a done deal it would've been done already.

If we get a Raider DB, I think Huff would help more than Asomugha. Nnamdi may be the star, but we need a safety more than a #1 CB. Plus Asomugha is going to be too expensive with our cap how it is already.
