I went for Mexico because they're a solid team, USA is quickly fading away.
The same USA team that went deeper that Mexico last year. Don't bullshut a bullshitter mojado. It's more race based than my comments.
How do we forget ourselves? How do we forget our minds?

I grew up watching Mexican soccer so I may be a little biased. I have tried to get into MLS and eventhough the MLS has progressed a lot in very few years, I just can't get myself to like it or the US style of play.

Its even harder to like once you start watching a higher level of the sport in Spain and England. There is just no comparison.

Why do the few americans that like soccer have to pay to be able to watch some games in English? Spanish channels have gone out of their way to get Mexico to play in the US and to get the rights to air their games.

I want to see the MLS grow but with the stupid money hungry rules they set, they limit their growth and the popularity of the sport in this country.
Get rid of the salary cap for the teams, let them fork out their millions to bring stars to the MLS so that the level of play grows in this country.

BTW Mexico moved up 19 places in the Fifa ranking table and is now #9
USA moved down to spots to #24

I bet Mexico moves back down after the crappy Copa America they're going to have.

Mexico suspends eight from rosterEmail Print Comments1 Associated Press

MEXICO CITY -- Eight players from Mexico's team for the Copa America were suspended Tuesday for six months and fined for violating team training rules.

Mexican federation officials said at a news conference they would not disclose details. News reports in Mexico said the incidents took place in Ecuador during training and involved players having female guests in their rooms.

The players named are: Israel Jimenez, Nestor Vidrio, Jonathan Dos Santos, Marco Fabian, Jorge Hernandez, Javier Cortes, David Cabrera and Nestor Calderon.

Of note, Jonathan dos Santos is the younger brother of Giovani Dos Santos, who scored for Mexico's national team in the Gold Cup victory Saturday against the United States.

Mexico is fielding a youth team for the Copa America without stars such as Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez.

Mexico's Copa America team defeated Ecuador 1-0 Saturday in its final warm-up match. The incidents are reported to have taken place after the match.

"I am not going into details of what happened," Hector Gonzalez Inarritu, director of national teams selection, said. "The rules were broken, the code of discipline was broken and I have to act."

The players also were fined $4,100 each. They are expected to be replaced, with the Copa America starting Friday in La Plata, Argentina. Argentina opens against Bolivia.

The players expected to replace them are by Kristian Álvarez, Antonio Gallardo, Édgar Pacheco, Alan Pulido, Emilio Orrantia, Úlises Dávila, Diego de Buen and Oswaldo Alanís.

"The players confessed," Gonzalez said. "They are very hurt, very sorry and they have said they are sorry to their fans. ... They are assuming the consequences."

Mexico opens play July 4 against Chile in Group C, which also includes Peru and Uruguay.

A similar incident took place in September 2010 when two players -- Carlos Vela and Efrain Juarez -- were suspended for six months following a party after an international friendly against Colombia in Monterrey, Mexico. Eleven other players were fined.

The incident involved a late-night party involving unidentified women.

                that's why I said they're having a crappy CA.

Their 'stars' aren't going. The few semi-good players they had are now kicked out.
It's pathetic. But I guess you can't expect reasonable behavior from 22 yr olds that play at a professional level.

Chicharito probably is very overrated but he seems to be able to stay out of trouble. I'm guessing he's the only one that listens to his dad's/grandpa's advice.
