He gets fined $25k for that, but not suspended. Weird considering that was his second time to hit someone in two years. They want to suspend people for helmet to helmet hits that, a lot of times, cannot be prevented. Yet when someone does something like this, they just wave it off with a moderate fine.
How do we forget ourselves? How do we forget our minds?

You sound like Harrison talking...... Well something tells me a helmet to helmet hit can fuck someone up a whole lot worse then a punch.

Did you see Hobbs the other day? That neck got all kinds of fucked up..... Out for the season.

It's part of that game you unintelligent bastard. Shit happens on the football field that you can't prevent, and contrary to how Roger Goodell and Congress (what fucking business is it of CONGRESS anyway?!) are trying to coddle everyone from the players to the fans, injuries do happen.

Purposefully striking someone, or purposefully going for a head shot are deserving of more than just a measly fine, especially when you have a proven track record of something like that.

Guess that is why Harrison takes so many fines..... He is a repeat offender.

I was just pointing out the fact that a helmet to helmet hit does more damage then a punch. Do you not agree?

Players throw punches all the time in the nfl. It isn't that big of a deal. The only reason it is a big deal is because he threw a punch at a quarterback, and in this case, a high profile quarterback.

I don't know the rules on suspension in this instance, but to me, it doesn't warrant a suspension. Sure he shouldn't have thrown the punch, but it wasn't like he juda chopped his throat to close his air passage.

No, I agree with you on that front. And Harrison's fine this year was complete bullshit.

I haven't seen someone get knocked on their ass because they got hit so hard. At least not that I can remember anyway.

He is, what, 260lbs, 6'4? And he was wearing a helmet, it is not like he uppercutted his ass underneath the helmet and hit is chin, oh yea, which is also guarded with a chin strap.

The incident reminded me exactly of Blount knocking out some Boise St. player only they had helmets on still and it was during the game.

He got suspended for his whole senior year and they let him play the final game that year.

I just watched it again and the motherfucker hit him pretty hard. Looked like a lower palm strike right to the chin. I suppose there is a possibility of him putting on a performance, but there's only you and about 3 other people out there saying that he did.

You have a link. I have seen it only once, and that is the impression I got, just buy how quick he dropped. His legs went up off the ground pretty quick.
