He gets fined $25k for that, but not suspended. Weird considering that was his second time to hit someone in two years. They want to suspend people for helmet to helmet hits that, a lot of times, cannot be prevented. Yet when someone does something like this, they just wave it off with a moderate fine.

Purposefully striking someone, or purposefully going for a head shot are deserving of more than just a measly fine, especially when you have a proven track record of something like that. How do we forget ourselves? How do we forget our minds?

I was just pointing out the fact that a helmet to helmet hit does more damage then a punch. Do you not agree?

Players throw punches all the time in the nfl. It isn't that big of a deal. The only reason it is a big deal is because he threw a punch at a quarterback, and in this case, a high profile quarterback.
I don't know the rules on suspension in this instance, but to me, it doesn't warrant a suspension. Sure he shouldn't have thrown the punch, but it wasn't like he juda chopped his throat to close his air passage.Last edited by mstng86; 11-23-2010, 08:46 AM.
