James told the haters to get a life, according to the Associated Press.
"All the people that were rooting on me to fail, at the end of the day they have to wake up tomorrow and have the same life that they had before they woke up today. They have the same personal problems they had today. I'm going to continue to live the way I want to live and continue to do the things that I want to do with me and my family and be happy with that. So they can get a few days or a few months or whatever the case may be on being happy about not only myself, but the Miami Heat not accomplishing their goal. But they got to get back to the real world at some point."
I'll wake up with the same life tomorrow. Except in my life reporters don't tell me i choked, or gave up in the biggest moments of my life. Half the world doesn't consider me a loser and a dueschbag, and the entire city of Cleveland doesn't hate me. I may not be rich, but I am a very happy person, and not just for a few days or months because LeBron lost. That's just the cherry on top. <--That's for you Princess James
I was half asleep when I heard it, but in the post game interviews, did a reporter flat out ask Lebron and Wade if they choked this series? I think I remember hearing something along those lines and opening one eye to see the two chuckle heads turning to look at one another as if "You gonna answer that?"
Yes, and it was great. Lebron just looked over at Wade and let him answer. 1920's reporter guy would have been less awkward...

Heard some numbers thrown out on The Ticket the other day... Cubes is worth $3 Billion. Since purchasing the team, he has spent $1 Billion in roster salary and coaches. Obviously some of which panned out, some of which didn't, and some of which never will. But if that's not an Owner's dedication, I don't know what is.
I'm glad Kidd got his ring, glad Dirk got his, etc. I wasn't a fan of the Kidd trade at all. I thought that was a dumbass move. It didn't pay off instantly like they thought it would, but it did pay off.

Oh, and I think it's hilarious that not one of you Miami Heat cheerleading cocksuckers have posted so much as a word since game 4. Fuck you in your diseased, festering asshole.

haha, i was actually going back through the thread to point them out. I got tired of it and didn't want to really rub it in. BPUtacoma seemed like an ok guy.

Lets take a look at ESPN's first and ten questions today, and the credit the Mavs STILL aren't receiving, as well as the story being completely eaten up by Lebrons failure, and not so much Dirks success.
FIRST DOWN
1. The Mavericks beat the Heat to win the NBA Finals. Who is to blame for the Heat's loss?
2. LeBron James, who averaged 26.7 points per game in the regular season, had the largest scoring drop of all time in the NBA Finals (-8.9) for a player that averaged more than 25 in the regular season. How do you explain LeBron's performance in the Finals?
3. On a scale of 1-10, how shocked are you that the Dallas Mavericks are NBA Champions?
SECOND DOWN
4. After the game, LeBron James was asked if it bothered him that so many people were happy to see him fail. He said it doesn't bother him. What's your reaction?
5. LeBron admitted that this was "a personal failure" and then tweeted after the game, "The Greater Man upstairs know when it's my time. Right now isn't the time." Do you have a problem with this?
THIRD DOWN
6. Dirk Nowitzki left the court immediately after the game and had to be brought back out for the awards ceremony. What do you make of this?
7. What does this title do for Dirk's legacy?
8. Does Pat Riley have to coach the Heat to get them over the top?
FOURTH DOWN
9. What was the biggest turning point in the series?
9.5 Did Dirk deserve the Finals MVP award?
10. Mark Cuban was unusually quiet during The Finals and gracious last night in receiving the Larry O'Brien Trophy. Last week Skip said he couldn't bear to see Cuban with a championship. Has Skip's opinion of Cuban changed?
Fuck all of the haters, the Mavs deserve the trophy, they went out and destroyed the competition. Who gives a fuck about the no talent having fucking sports reporters. IMO the WC was the trophy, the cHeats were just an after thought. All everyone was talking about was the Fakers vs Chicago/Heat in the finals, we got the last laugh, HAmuthufuckingHA, bitches!

Yeah I caught that last night. There was a awkward pause after they were asked that.

Old School basketball over flash and dash glitz. Love it.
I remember going and watching so many Mavs games in the early 90s I'd pay $5 to park and $5 to get in. I'd walk all the way down to the expensive seats because the ushers didn't care and was just happy someone was there.
Been alot of heartbreats over the last few years but it all paid off last night. Love the Mavs!
