What made them weak? Please be specific because that could be a wide range of things.... If you want to get "technical" wasn't the West pretty weak this year? Hell San Antonio won the West and everyone knew they sucked.

The competition is the biggest reason they were weak. Like I said, Chicago and Miami were the only decent teams in the East last year.

By all means have your own opinion bcoop but don't ignore the truth. The truth is Boston is still one of the elite teams in the NBA.

I'm not ignoring the truth. I'm going by stats, and facts. I wouldn't put Boston in the top tier of NBA teams. Maybe towards the bottom of the second tier, but definitely not the top tier. If they were, they'd still be in it. Miami isn't great. They don't have a team vibe, they don't play as a team, and they are inconsistent as shit.

It's a dumb rule. I'm all for any player to go to any team he damn well wants to, as long as the team is under the cap and both sides are happy with the deal I don't see a problem.

I don't think it is. It's there to protect the owners and their money. Checks and balances are necessary, IMO. Especially with some of the thugs in the NBA.

I don't think there is actually a rule in place for player to player conversation and which team to sign with, just team reps talking to players, which makes sense.
