Mavs in 5. I think the mavs will lose one on purpose in OKC to come back and finish them off at home.

And the only loss, Dirk didn't play that night.

Yeah. I haven't been impressed at all with OKC in the playoffs. I was more impressed with Memphis. The Memphis/OKC series was about the worst playoff series I have seen in a while.

Meh. The Grizzlies stingy defense makes almost every team look bad. Check the Denver series highlights if you want to see how they usually play...

Get out of here with that logic and those facts. These guys know basketball!

And the rest of the journey begins tonight at 8pm! Glad we eliminated those West Coast teams....no more late night games. All games start at 8pm this series.

So... First time since 1998 that either the Lakers, or the Spurs were not in the West Conf Finals. That's a trip.

Sterns been too busy dealing with the possible work stoppage.

Oklahoma City will be much better competition than Los Angeles. The mathchups are different, and OKC is MUCH more physical than the Lakers. And then theres the whole defense thing. With the addition of Perkins on the inside, the Thunder has held their opponants to the lowest scoring percentage, and total points in the NBA.

It's one thing to have an opinion, but there should be some validity to it.

I think Dallas will win the series in 6 games, with each team winning on their home court. It will be a battle, either way. OKC is better than Portland and L.A. both.

I'll be heading down to Dallas for game 2, and will be here in OKc for games 3 and 4. Anyone that wants to meet up, the Beer is on me.

Does that really surprise you? Its always been that way around here.

The mavs should take it, but I thinks its going to be in 6 or 7. I'm a little worried about the officiating already - I know Devil Stern is creaming himself over the Durant v Lebron finals possibility...

I was beat down when the playoffs started for the same reason. That said, Stern and Cuban get along now, and I've been absolutely shocked at the officiating in all the Mavs series thus far. Really not a complaint to be had, IMO. You could nitpick if you want. I just want the calls going both ways, so I've been pleasantly surprised.

Stern might be creaming himself over a Durant/Lepieceofshit finals, but he also knows he owns a Finals appearance to Dallas, and that is undeniable. Fuck an appearance, he owes them a goddamn ring.
