No what's stupid is suggesting the Mavs can sweep a team that's faster and a thousand times more athletic than them. It's going to be a close series.

Really?? Did you not watch them sweep the Lakers?? They just went 7 games with Memphis!! There's a reason why Memphis was the 8th seed... Athletic?.?... I think Tyson C. Is pretty athletic and don't think Perkins or Mohammed can match his play... With the way the Mavs have been playing defense and having 9 days off they'll be ok.

The Lakers were a mess. The god-awful NOLA Hornets took them to six games. That should give you a pretty good indication of how bad that team was. OKC played them a week or two before the playoffs started and absolutely dismantled them. Sweeping the Lakers was awesome but don't let it get to your head. That team was in disarray for the last 2 months.

Yes, athletic. You were able to mention ONE player on the Dallas roster who's athletic and he's not even asked to score. Who's going to stop KD and Westbrook? What about James Harden?

Stevenson and Marion are the only decent defenders in that bunch. I find it hard to believe you mentioned RoddyB as a good defender lol

No one can guard Dirk. He's going to get his points regardless. Westbrook and Maynor are both fast and can defend JJ fine. You can kick it out to Terry and Peja in the corner but OKC doesn't leave three shooters open often and if they do, they close quickly. They won't come easy like they did against LA.

Of course I do but did you see how they played less than 48 hours after winning the 3OT game in Memphis? They looked like they weren't even fazed by it. They even got up and practiced the day before the game even though Memphis didn't.

Edit: Look, I'm a big OKC homer but even I don't think they win the series (yes I realize I picked them in 7 earlier in the thread). But discrediting this team because you think they'll be tired is silly. No one had a better record after the All-Star break and no one played better defense. They're young and make bone-headed decisions and that's going to kill them against a veteran team like Dallas but to count them out in as few as 5 games is absurd.

And you forgot about Kidd defensively... And Peja showed some glimpses of his Sacramento days guarding L. Odom.

Kidd can't run with Westbrook. Westbrook might be the fastest player in the league.

RoddyB is a baaaad defender. You can foul that guy out of the game in all of about 2 minutes.
