  • Need Car Audio Help Now!

I'm just about finished installed my Pioneer AVH-3200P but the radio does not work?
I have a Antenna Adapter which is then plugged into the HU but it still gets no signal.

    What am I going wrong???

Metra sells the 40CR10 which is what I use and then the AD-CR1 is their Raptor line. Remove the end that attaches to the car, look inside. Is the center pin bent or not there?

I just threw everything back together for now, I'm going to get another Antenna Adapter today and see if that works.

Are there supposed to be any wires connected to anything that go with my antenna?

So the CD and other features play sound through the speakers but the AM/FM does not work?

Exactly. All sources but the radio work...cd, dvd, ipod, sd, etc. I try to scan and it never stays on a preset, it just continues scanning. I've tried the BSM and it did nothing either. When I turn to the radio is says "No data provided"

I would try to bench test the radio to see if the tuner works. Most audio shops can do it. You could also buy a cheap antenna and plug it directly into the deck. If it does not have reception then, my guess is bad tuner in deck. I don't sell pioneer so maybe there is some other setting or quirk that I don't know about.

Haven't been able to swing by best buy yet, I don't listen to the radio much anyway so it's not a huge deal right now. I definitely want to find out what the problem is though.

Just hooked up my amp & sub today.

                        Question:
If my tuner is bad on my headunit would I be able to still get like Sirius or XM Radio through it?

Yes since the satellite radio is a different source than the tuner.

If you're in the North DFW area and still need help troubleshooting, I recommend calling my husband Devin at Soundscape in McKinney. Yes I'm a little biased, but he's one of very few installers in Texas that has passed the MECP Master Certification test. And he's very good at troubleshooting. They are also reasonably priced and can almost always beat Car Toys/Best Buy prices.
