So we bought this BestBuy brand receiver a few years ago and now it'll turn its self off and the sound will cut out and now come back on for awhile. Question is my buddy just got a Klipsche soundbar that is pretty stout. But i recently bought my dad a Sub for this receiver and Idk if it'll work with a soundbar or not. Or should i just get another Receiver? I just want something that wont give him problems anytime soon.

There are so many affordable entry to mid level receivers to choose from. That way you'll have the option of speaker level and line level inputs to the sub. I would consider that option over the sound bar. The built in or wireless subs that come with the sound bars are pretty anemic.

I upgraded to a Denon receiver when I moved. It's been a very good receiver and won't disappoint. I'll PM the details.

You remember the stories John use to tell us about the the three chinamen playing Fantan? This guy runs up to them and says, "Hey, the world's coming to an end!" and the first one says, "Well, I best go to the mission and pray," and the second one says, "Well, hell, I'm gonna go and buy me a case of Mezcal and six whores," and the third one says "Well, I'm gonna finish the game." I shall finish the game, Doc.
