  • thoughts on the Pioneer AppRadio 3 (SPH-DA110)?

Pioneer Electronics car audio and home theater entertainment products including in-car GPS navigation, Android Auto Enabled Receivers, Apple Car Play enabled Receivers, Pioneer and Elite Receivers, headphones, iphone car stereo, car stereos, bluetooth car stereo, car radio, speakers and Blu-ray/DVD Drives

I have a Galaxy S3 phone, never listen to FM, and haven't bought a CD/DVD in about 10 years.

I primarily use Pandora for music and Waze for navigation.

I'm thinking this is a pretty sweet unit for the money. Anything better for the price? I'd like to stay under $400 if possible. It will be integrated into an existing Audi Symphony/Bose system.

Go touch one and connect your phone to it, see it in action before purchase.

I don't think I like the sound of that. Is the gui clunky?

Make sure it works with your phone. Pioneer is sneaky with their wording.

I bought an AppRadio thinking I could just download the app on my Note 2 and nav etc. would work. Nope.....

The "phone" portion works, and pandora. That's it.

Well, less than stellar reviews for the Pioneer. How about the JVC?

Ended up with the JVC KW-NSX1 after reading XDA Forums and knowing I have a Galaxy S3 phone.
