Yes, the 600/1 does put out the same power from 1.5-4 ohm. The 10W6v3-D4 only comes in dual 4 ohm so you will end up with 4 ohm mono if you plan on running two drivers. Run each sub in series and then parallel them to the amp. Also, the amp will perform better and have a higher damping factor at 4 ohm mono. The 10W6v3-D4 will perform very well sealed. If you wanted to run it ported, you need to call JL for info at this time.

What can you do me for a pair cash out the door picked up? Also I need that amp as well.

I agree although EW just shot me a ridiculous good price on a pair. I am just not familiar enough with those brands to know if they are good or not. To be honest I have not even heard of any of them. This is my first time really getting back into this stuff since JL really first hit the scene and was tearing it up. I kinda got out of it about the time the kicker square subs were the new thing. I have dabbled in it but never have I been looking for the upper level components that I am now. I say "upper level" I really just mean that I am not looking at anyones entry level stuff. So it's not that I am a die hard JL fan boi it's more that I know they have a quality product and I am familiar with it.

I wish I hadn't sold my 10w6. I would love to put one back in my truck. Though it wasn't easy to fit that big SOB behind the seat of a regular cab s-10. Any thoughts on how a single 8" would do?

Honestly I am now a little concerned about it going the other way! I took all of my measurements and built my box in autocad today. I had to play with it in a few areas to get the volume after driver displacement to a dead nuts .55 cu ft per driver. One thing that lured me to these subs is the absurd low amount of air space that they require. I could not have even attempted this project with these subs if they would have required a bunch more air space. Physical space is at a premium as it is.

Started the box build today. The way I designed the box I wanted to utilize a bit of this "cubby hole" that is in the back of the jeeps. Since the box will be covering it anyways I might as well use it to my advantage. This will allow me to drop the over all height of the enclosure a couple of inches. Today I just cleaned up the garage from the last project so I would have a fresh starting point to destroy it for this project. I then cut the pieces and assembled my lower piece that will extend off of the bottom side of the box for the magnets to drop into a little bit.



After assembly where it is glued, screwed, trimmed, had all of the exterior edges rounded, sanded, and ready to have the counter sunk screw holes filled.




I hope to do a little on it every day this week.

More progress over the last 2 days. I built the perimeter of the main section of the box and cut the piece for the bottom of the box. I had to carefully measure and place the hole for the extended part that will hang off of the bottom. After I had it lined up good I glued, screwed, trimmed the opening, rounded the corners, and sanded. I then had to make the partition to separate the 2 subs. This was a little more tricky since it has to contour down into the lower section as well. I still have not trimmed the partition for over all height but the hard part is done.

Not a ton more progress but here I have baffle trimmed down and installed, the bottom trimmed and sanded, the terminal holes drilled out, and the top was just installed here. I will trim it tomorrow, cut the holes for the woofers, and round all the rest of the edges on the box. Then I have to fill and sand all of the screw holes and after that it is off to the Line-X shop. I picked up the woofers from EW today and these things are massive.

Looking good. Did you use liquid nails or something to seal the seams?
