We have a 46" Samsung in the master, and it's perfect.

I think ours is a 42" at that same distance and it is perfect IMO.

Even if you went with a 60" at 12', it's not like you'll have to move your eyes/head around to see the whole screen. It will all fit in your normal field of vision. I had an old 65" in my bedroom for a few weeks several years ago, and it was pretty rad. It was one of those monster DLPs, though, so it took up a ton of room.

Make sure you mount it high enough that when you're laying down you can see over your toes.

Assuming similar picture quality, bigger is almost always better with TVs. There are very few exceptions that I can think of.

60 inch in a bedroom is retarded. Just my opinion. 40 at most. To each it's own tho

Yeah, we mounted ours a bit high and angled it down.

Depending on room size and placement, no smaller than 32, but I'd not do any bigger than 42.

60 inches nothing less in my house.

                My computer monitors are 32"

only thing smaller then 32 is the laptops.

Will a Plasma TV generate too much heat in a bedroom? Will it even be noticeable? Seems like all the plasma TV's are cheaper in price compared to LED's.

They do give of a noticeable amount of heat. Why I think you shouldn't go very big. Plasma tv's are cheaper but still have a better pic than the LCD and led models . Cheaper Cus they are old tech. Heavy and do require some maintenance

Unless your bedroom is closet-sized, you won't notice. Along with weighing about half, my newer plasma's don't throw out near the heat of the other's I've had.
