Well, it's time to upgrade my projector again. I'll sell it off, take the money and put it towards my next one. Here are the projectors I've been looking at:
1. Mitsubishi HC4000
2. Epson 8350
3. Optoma HD23
I've been seriously considering the Epson 8350 1080p projector. I have a 120" screen and ceiling mount, and the lumen count and the contrast ratio on the 8350 is supposed to be spectacular. My last Mitsubishi and Optoma projectors didn't really make me that happy. Low bulb lifes, and as for the Optoma premature color wheel failure. Anyone have some experience with either of the three and want to chime in? Also, seems like 3 LCD technology is popular now, what exactly is that? I guess it's the replacement for the DLP color wheel - which I will gladly say goodbye the rainbows and color wheel failures.
One thing I'd really like to get is a 120hz refresh rate projector. I seem to remember Mitsubishi having one. I'd be willing to pay a few hundred more for it.
