Any recommendations on networking AV Receivers?

Not brand loyal, but like others on here, think ill stay away from onkyo based on my previous experience

Here are the must haves:
Network/wifi capability (Airplay)
7.1 (I have a powered sub)
At least 2 zone
probably north of 100W/ch


I like the app for the yamaha the most based on the demo mode. For that reason, I am considering something like,

Are the Aventage Series, Elite Series or Marantz worth the extra chedder?

Another thing I am considering is picking up a 1-2 year old used higher end unit.

I like Denon and Marantz, but have a Pioneer Elite because I'm poor and I got a good deal on it.
