Boston made shit that cost too much for what it was. It was good Best Buy crap and should have been sold there at half their msrp, not trying to compete with real speaker companies.

I also realize there are components out there that cost several thousand bucks. Talk about overpriced...

I guess we all hear things differently, but I do know good reproduction of sound when I hear it. And ZRs are great components, too. I've never been impressed by Focal, so to each his own.

Focal, Dyn, Hertz, Rainbow, CDTech, etc are just a few of what I'd consider a higher end car audio speaker company. Not so much Boston.

I was helpful as to what you should get. 1 10W1 or 12W1. Both VERY cheap yet sound good and will be all you would want.
I was just happy EW said Boston went under and jluv took offense to it.

You think enough of the W1 line of subs to say that they sound "good", but lumped all Boston stuff together and called it "overpriced awful sounding shit". It's an opinion, so I won't say you're wrong or right. Just funny, that's all.
W1s are decent subs and I think Tim would be very happy with one.
