    Need a Auto start

    Does anyone make a Auto start system that doesn't come with a alarm?
    This is the first vehicle I have had in 8 years that doesn't have one and I'm digging this running out in the cold at 4am to start my truck to warm up.

    Anyways I just want a simple auto start system and no alarm. Do i need to go to the dealer for something like that or what?

    Keyless start is widely available. Most cars require an antitheft override. The most basic remote starts can use your factory keyless remote to activate it by pressing the lock button 3 times.

    HOWEVER...once the car is running, the factory remote may no longer work which means you have to use the key to open the door. PLUS, you are limited to the very short range of most factory remotes. A remote start with keyless entry will include remotes. and will start, kill, short stop, lock/unlock, flash the parking lights and have better range. Trunk release, rear defroster activation, two way paging, or other functions are extra.

    Minimum for most cars $370-399

    iphone, Blackberry, and Android control of remote start system is available for approx $299 addl.

      Why wouldnt you bother with an alarm if youre having a remote start put in?


      I love my Clifford that EW put in! Remote start, 1 mile range(line of sight), two way paging back to you if someone makes the alarm go off.

        I've got that one and love it. It also states on the key fob which sensor was activated. Too neat!

              Honestly what good would a alarm do? While it's going off someone will anyone actually do anything? The one and only time I had my stuff ripped off they managed to snag two amps, the subs, and head unit all while the alarm was going off.
              I'm just tired of running outside at 4am to start the thing while it's 25 degrees.

                There are several that are just remote start/keyless entry

                DEI Valet 561 - I have a few also

                Excalibur has a few...

                I currently have a 5902 on my 07 tahoe and on my '67 Chevy
