  • Best CD-R for Burning Audio Disks?

My car's stock CD player does not like to play burned CDs. Over the years I have used a bunch of CD-Rs and some seem to play better than others; this seems to be dependent on the write speed capability of the disk, but I really have no idea. What CD-R have y'all had good luck with?

i seem to think it is the player itself...In 3 different cars that i know of the stock player would play all kinds of burned cd's for over a year..and then the cd players would start to have trouble playing them no matter what brand of cd. Soon they would stop playing them at all

But, to answer your question I have always used sony cd's

I'm afraid you might be right, as that is exactly what I have experienced as well. That's unfortunate since I'm not a fan of aftermarket stereos because they have always turned my cars into targets for thieves

Screw burnt CD's. Get an aftermarket player with an input jack and an ipod.

Set the burn speed to a slower setting.
