looking for a subwoofer box new or used anyone know of one that will fit inside the trunk?

it is more important to know what speakers you intend to put into said box than it is to know if any box will fit in the trunk.

There is a manufacturer that makes one that goes where your spare tire is, but its like ~300. Not sure what you're looking to spend. Any car audio store should be able to fit a box for you.

Pro box makes good enclosures but they are not usually made for a specific woofer which is bad if ported. I don't like having enclosures shipped because they usually come in damaged. Most of the cheaper boxes on the market are thinner or less dense material which is bad for a woofer enclosure. Enclosures for mustangs must be pretty small unless you remove the back seat to install it or remove the back seat and then cut some sheet metal, and then reinstall the back seat. Also, in many cases, you will not be getting the spare out with the enclosure installed. Removing the MACH460 speaker pod if equipped does give you more room.
