Guys-

If you are interested in buying a new ride(Ford or any other), it may be in your best interests to take a look at doing business before the end of the month. Not a sales ploy or tactic, but we have already received ALOT of commodity holds from Ford and their suppliers due to the situation in Japan. No Tuxedo Black, Royal Red, Red Fire, or Red Candy Paints....no 20 inch wheels....with more holds to come. I have also heard that industry wide we will actually see a reduction in incentives (rebates and rates) from the manufacturers in April. Take it for what you will, just food for thought.

Ed Wallace was talking about this very situation on his show last week. GM has already shut down the Chevy Colorado plant in Shreveport and many more plant closures are coming.

Some supplier factories were up in the Sendai area and were totally wiped out. Some are actually giving up their intellectual properties to other companies to get those parts back into production.

It'll be interesting to see what incentives (or lack there of) will be out there in April.
