  • Thanks Josh

Thanks Josh for coming up with a good deal ( and a great APR ) on a new car to replace the old worn out beater I had my mother in that was eating up all of my free time "fixing it".

Cant wait until later this year when I see you again for the Mustang

      Nice ride.

What's the story on the B36 in your avatar?

Yes it is a nice ride but I wont be driving it much. I bought that one for my mother. The car I originally had her in was totalled last December, and I had her in my old car which was ( and still is ) falling apart.

That B-36 avatar is actually a picture of the last B-36 that used to be on display out front of the old Greater Southwest International Airport / Amon Carter Field.

B-36`s are an interest of mine, and I still find it amazing that most people in North Texas have no idea that those existed -AND - were actually built in Ft Worth.

Mustangs are big in Texas, but things made in Texas are bigger ....

The B-29 vs the XB-36 Prototype

Just Image what *COULD* have been done against Japan if we had that in 1945

At last count I have eight books on the Convair B36. I went to Pima air museum JUST to see the City of Fort Worth B36, but it was undergoing some restoration work at the time. I'll see it soon.

PS, the B-29s had no problem handling Japan...
