Here's a pretty random question for you guys. I had been planning on picking up a new GT in the spring of 2012, but now I'm leaning more towards the 2013 models that will be coming out around that time. My question is how bad do the financing options look when the model year first comes out? IOW, what did the options look like on the 2012 models when they first came out? I don't want to get hosed on the financing, and am sure I could do better if I waited a little longer on the 2013 (maybe late 2013 instead of spring). Just curious.... Thanks.

Depends on your credit. People with higher credit scores generally take the rebates because they can acheive a better overall deal than the subvented financing offers. People with lower credit scores may give up the rebate for hope of a lower rate.

That being said....the rebates are better later in the model year.....but they do run evenly with the depreciation of the model as the year progresses if that makes sense.

I've bought cars both ways FYI.

My credit's decent (720-740 depending on my revolving balances at the time). How long after a new year model comes out will they start doing rebates/special finance rates? What could I expect finance % wise if I took the rebate instead? I was planning on getting a '12 but the release of the '13 around the same time will make it enticing as long as I don't miss out on too much by buying the newer year model.

generally have a decent rate/small rebate at first.....depends on the market and the competition in the market for similar units
