This is it, everyone! - Our biggest install video to date!
If you're familiar with our YouTube videos already, you might recognize this 1967 convertible, owned by CJ's Doug Geyer. Doug decided the engine was a bit burnt out, with over 100,000 miles on it, so Bill and the CJ team are going to be performing an engine swap.

To swap the '67's tired, original engine, Bill will be installing a Ford Racing Ready to Run 340 Horsepower 306 Cubic Inch Crate Engine.

This 306 cubic inch is the most popular crate engine in the Ford Racing lineup, and it features a Holley carburetor, Edelbrock intake, MSD distributor, and spark plug wires. Furthermore, this engine is top quality with an OEM precision remanufactured block, along with a cast iron remanufactured crankshaft and steel connecting rods. Make sure to check out the part on CJPonyParts.com to see further details.

For installation, the first step is to remove your original engine. Make sure to follow Bill's instructions and helpful "Tech Tips" to complete this step properly. Once the engine is out, there are a several components, like the bellhousing and alternator, that you may want to consider transferring to the new Ford Racing engine, provided they are still in good and usable shape.

Next, prepare the new engine for installation. This is a bit of a lengthy process, with several steps that need to be completed correctly, so make sure to follow along with Bill as he demonstrates all that needs to be done. Then, give your engine bay a quick cleaning, remove the old engine mounts, and then install your new 306 cubic inch crate engine.

Once the engine is installed and running correctly, finish your install project by reinstalling the suspension, filling the radiator, and putting fluid in the transmission. While this might not be the easiest installation to perform, the new engine sounds, looks, and runs great in Doug's '67, so we're confident you'll love Ford Racing's 306 cid in your Mustang, as well!
