Hi fellas,

Now that my wife is squared away, and I have no need for a truck, I'm starting to look around for a new (or used) car. Below is a list of what I've been looking at thus far. I'm not in any rush so I'm open minded. The only thing off my list right now is a Mustang GT (see old post if you don't know).

So let's do something that is pretty much never done on the Back Porch. Let's talk cars!


2012 Audi a5 - used 29383 miles - $38950

2014 BMW M235i - Used 2242 miles - $42950 (probably too small but worth a look)

2014 BMW 435i - Used 10833 miles - $44994

2014 Caddy CTS vSport - used 17876 - $45662 (very interested in this one)

2011 Caddy CTS-V - used 11808 - $43866

2014 Caddy CTS vSport - used 3808 miles - $48995 (I'm planning to go and drive this)

2015 Chrysler 300C - new - $42346 (a good family cruiser?)

2015 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack - New $43956 (right now my favorite but I think I would still be happy with the R/T plus)

2015 Dodge Challenger R/T Plus - New $39178 (right now this is at the top of my list)

2012 Jaguar XF - Used 17518 miles - $39900 (it's a Jaaaaaaag)

2012 Lexus IS-F - used 15492 miles - $48488 (maybe if I can get them to deal) (oooooooooooh yeaaaaaaaah, this could be fun)

2014 Mercedes Benz CLA45 AMG - used 8500 miles - $49995

I like the CTS-V Sport. And the Challenger RT plus. But if you have the means get the ctsv sport.

Challenger or the jag gets my vote. A buddy has the scat pack and it is really nice. I was not impressed with the IS Lexus I rode in, felt cramped inside. The ctsV is another great one, for that kind of money I wouldn't get the sport though.

aw hell that's tempting, but also above my drop dead price. Maybe one that's a little older. Definitely an incredible family hauler. Thanks for the suggestion.

i got the srt challenger and i am enjoying it. i did drive a cts vsport and really like it but just can't get over the ridiculous depreciation every caddy ever has. if they prove to hold value better i might be interested in one down the road.

audi would have to be a s5 not a5 for me i think

I would never purchased a new or lightly used luxury car, 7 year depreciation cuts the vehicle value in half. A 2008 BMW 7 series can be bought for 12 grand when it stickers for $80k

Working at the autoparts store is retarded when you see some one roll up in a 2-3 year old range rover/Mercedes/BMW/Porsche cayenne. Can you guys put a new battery into my (insert luxury label here). No sorry the dealer needs to hook up the ecu battery to their diagnostic tool to prevent a possible short circuit between the starting battery and ecu battery.

Or when they try to play dumb to get you to install a headlight bulb. Yeah bud I'm sure you didn't already know 3 hours labor for bumper removal
