  • My SN95 "New Gen" Resto!

Well, it's time to start over. It took a whole day before my wife gave me the green light to find another chassis. Guess she wanted to keep me in the garage.

I couldn't bring myself to build another coupe just to get it back to where it was, so I chose to build a Sn95 New Gen. At least this way it felt like I was building something new. I searched craigslist for hours and found a 2001 V6 for $1000 right down the street from me. It looked clean enough for what was planned so I drove it home.

After getting it back home I decided that I wanted a fuell cell so I cut the trunk out.

I also stopped by Wolfe and got some SN95 swaybar mounts so I could transfer mine over from the foxbody. And some torque box plates as well.

It only took about 5 min before I went to HF and bought a blaster to "prep" my torque boxes for welding. It did the trick.

Called up my welder and that part was done!
I will be installing the cell here soon.

The car will be getting a Wolfe 10 point and subframes here soon. Figured I would start the bodywork while I saved some $$ for that. Car only has minor dings so it shouldn't take to long.

I also got the rear end mocked up and it, (to me) sits perfect. Its 3in shorter overall but ive got 3/8 between inner frame rail & tire. I Should be able to get it low once coilovers go in. This is the stance im shooting for. Btw, this is a stock length foxbody 8.8 with 15x10 w 6.5 bs.

So far that's about it. Gonna continue bodywork and should prob have front suspension on here pretty soon. Just busy work until the cage goes in. Then I will pick up the pace.

                            Stay tuned!
