Anyone on here do any building want to give me a quote? Needs to be reinforced for a 9x9 hot tub. Have a couple quotes in the works, but wouldn't mind giving the work to someone I know.

Just going to ask, have you considered a concrete patio instead and is that viable? A lot less maintenance, snakes and other things. The house I bought has one and I'm going to demo it this year due to all those reasons.

stain/sealers and all the jazz needed for wood is not cheap either, especially over a 20 year period. Wood is prettier (generally) though.

If you do go with a deck instead of concrete, use composite wood.Comment

I made a nice deck several years ago and did my utmost to seal any avenue for rodents to no avail. Lizards and spiders also call the under-deck home. Concrete and stone or stamping will replace as Santa sees fit.Comment
