My 72 C10 mods....

So, I've slowly been getting this truck up to speed as far as where I want it. I think I'm done for a while, because to me the next step is probably a 4/6 drop and wheels etc...

Anyways over the past 2 months I've Added:

A vintage air system (my favorite mod)

A radio from LMC (actual vendor is custom autosound) with mp3 capabilities but still retains stock appearance.

Kick panels from a guy on 67-72chevytrucks.com

Kicker 4.5 speakers

New seat cover from a guy on the same site as above, it was about $150 cheaper than LMC and the same or better quality IMO.

A warmseat seat heater kit

Window tint

I had the seat cover professionally installed because I suck at stuff like that. I'm glad too because it needed a lot of work to look right. And I pulled the bed rails off, I thought they looked grandpa-ish. Not that the truck isn't that already, I just don't think it needed anymore help. I'm pretty happy with where it's at now. I had a couple of necessary mods due to failure. I added a new gas tank and rebuilt the carb due to rust in the tank. The carb was full of crap so that got rebuilt too. Hopefully all I have to do now is drive it and enjoy it. Now for the pics, and a couple of close to same angle before and after pics.

I think that my next mods will be either the lowering, or more realistically a new gauge setup with the original tach and non aftermarket white faced gauges. I can't stand the tach on the steering column. And a more original style steering wheel that isn't 6" in diameter, lol. I'm kind of digging the 72 chevelle wheels right now.

I'm curious who you picked the seat cover up from....GMC Paul's? If you do decide to drop it, the CPP stuff is pretty good and very cost effective. I have a 4/5 drop on my LWB from them, and it sits just right and still rides very good. ECE also makes some great suspension parts for these trucks.

Looking at this makes me want to go out in the garage and do some more work on mine right now!!

I pretty much love it. It converted the cable system with a potentiometer on the back of the switches. So the control of everything is smooth and very linear. And the cooling capabilities are awesome. I just need to find an original 8 bladed fan and a clutch. The truck gets a little hot at idle in traffic.

I got the cover from a vendor named truckseats on 67-72chevytrucks.com. He did a military discount for me and the cost was $265 shipped. LMC's is $389 before shipping I believe. And their shipping is outrageous, I'm sure you already know that.

I've been looking at the ECE drop kit. It's like $750 for everything I need to do the 4/6 drop. Can you post pics of yours? I'd like to see something bigger than your sig.

That's pretty nice. Obviously, I'm a die hard ford guy when it comes to trucks, but I'm not sure theres a better looking truck on the entire planet than the 69-72 Chevys. Those seats are killer. Don't really care for window tint on classics, but I'm sure it helps keep things cool in the cab.

The two tone scheme is what I really like about those trucks. Is it a red/white/red......or orange/white/orange? Can't really tell.

I hear you about die hard for guy. I am too, but I have always loved these trucks. My step dad had one and I've always wanted one. The color is orange/white/orange.

And as far as the tint, I think it'll fit more once it's lowered but it does really help keep the cab cool. If it wasn't there, my neck would be more red than it always is, lol. Seriously, the sun fries your neck.

I wonder if the stance would be about the same? The one that I was looking at was the 4/6 drop from ECE. I know that those come with KYB shocks, do you know what kind of shocks you got with your CPP kit?
