  • Has any one had a flu shot?

I just got one today and last time I didn't do so well with it. It was a few years back and I ended up with the flu. Of course the doctors told me it was a good idea that I get it since I am pregnant and pregnant women get sicker when they get the flu. I am just really worried.

Any one else have a bad reaction to a flu shot.

where did you get your shot at? I think getting a flu shot is overrated...being pregnant may change things, but i will not get a flu shot. nobody poking me with a 20" needle.

I don't get em. Even when I was on immunosuppressors I didn't take one, much to the dismay of my doctor.

Katrina has us all scheduled to get one this Tuesday through her work for $21. They've got them with a needle-less injection.

I've never had one in recent memory and I haven't had the flu so I don't really think I need it, but I'm not really getting the option LOL

No request for prego titty pics yet??? You guys are slackin....

Funny this should come up. My dad (71) just got his and woke up the next day with really bad aching in his joints, and a fever. Turned out he got some type of "super" flu shot (HD?) that his doctor recommended. He only had one bad day, but he wasn't very happy about it.

I'm in healthcare so I get them every year, it's typical to get some flu symptoms after getting the vaccine. I'd recommend it, I had the flu once a long time ago and it was horrible.

Considering you are injecting yourself with influenza virus, it shouldn't be a surprise that you get the flu, albeit a weaker version.

I'm rarely exposed to kids or work environment where diseases spread rampantly, so I don't get flu vaccinations. I don't know that I would anyway.

About two years ago I decided to cut out meds, including yearly flu shot. I've never felt better. I think it's just another way to make money.

The only year I got one (98ish) I was never sicker. However, there is a difference between a cold and the flu. I think most people think they are the same.

I was forced to take one last month during my physical. 12 hours later I had to fly back to the States from Dubai. That was a long flight after 4 shots.
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.
