9|11 Mustangs & Motorcycles Honor Run

Where: From Sherman, TX-OKC
Why: In Honor of all emergency services personnel, families, and Military lost September, 11, 2001 and those still serving.
9-11-11 At 0800 Mustangs and Motorcycles will be gathering in the Sherman, TX Town Center parking lot behind Texoma Harley Davidson(4000 N US Hwy 75 Sherman TX). Matt Matthews Photography will be on hand for the entirety of the Honor Run taking pictures of the event. Anyone in the Grayson Co area wanting to see the Honor Run should be at the Town Center parking lot by 8:00AM as the Mustangs and Motorcycles arrive. Any Mustangs or Motorcycles wishing to attend the Honor Run should be there around 8:00am to start setting up for a picture at 8:20 with PD, EMS, Fire, THP, and Air Evac and their chopper. The Run is scheduled to begin at 8:30am leaving the Town Center parking lot and being escorted northbound 69/75 to the Oklahoma border by the Texas Highway Patrol. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol will pick up the escort at the state line and bring the Honor Run to the Choctaw Casino & Resort event center parking lot. The Run will be in the event center parking lot for about 20 minutes for anyone who wants to come take pictures. There will be another picture taken with Emergency services and Eagle Med with their chopper. At around 9:30-9:45 the Honor Run and emergency services will come down 1st St. to Main St. in Durant, OK. Then the Run will be escorted west on Main headed to Marshall Co. where it will be picked up by emergency units at the Marshall Co. line and escorted to the Madill Wal Mart parking lot. The Honor Run will be there for 20 minutes for anyone who wishes to come and take pictures. There will be another picture with Marshall Co Emergency services here as well. The Honor Run will then be escorted to Carter Co and down Commerce into Ardmore Wal Mart parking lot for pictures with emergency services, again we will be here for approximately 20 minutes for anyone wanting to come take pictures. From here the Honor Run will be escorted north on I-35 and head to OKC. Channel 9 News of OKC will be providing arial coverage and pictures of the Honer Run as we come into OKC. South of the City on I-35 The Run will *be picked up and escorted by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol and OKC emergency services, and the OK Co. Sheriffs Office to Tinker Air Force Base where pictures will be taken in front of their air craft displays. *A final surprise picture will be announced at Tinker AFB.
Any Departments wishing to join in the Run or show up for pictures are more then welcome and encouraged to join in for support and honor of the Emergency Services, Military, and families of 9-11. Some departments have expressed interest in sending one of their units for the intirety of the Honor Run, Any departments wanting to send units for the entirety of the Honor Run or partial, are welcomed to do so.
The Unites States Army National Guard cannot confirm yet, but will be in attendance for this event or portions of it as well if they can.
