Column vs console shifters

I realize today I really like column shifters. Having it in the console just takes up space and I generally don't like it.

Am I the only one that wants the column shifters back? Am I a enthusiast?

My SUV is column shift. I prefer it up there. Center console shift does take up to much room.

When shopping for trucks, I specifically picked the FX2 because it has the console shifter. Don't like the column shifters.

In the previous gen f150 I prefer the console shifter, but in just about everything else a column would do fine.

The f150 is is console shift, but I like my buddies LTZ silverado better with a column shifter, way more usable space in the center console...

Its not just the space but just the idea or feel of a truck.

I feel like a truck is supposed to have a column shifter. It just feels right.

I used to be the exact oppostie, drove manuals forever, and would get in the misses car and reach for the phantom shifter.

I prefer real transmissions. If it must be an auto, column/bench in trucks and console in cars.

My new truck has buckets with a console shifter. Took me a while to get used to it, but I like it better than a column shifter.

I never understood why you would want a console shifter in a truck. The shifter belongs on the column.

That was one of those details that Ford got right on the Lightning.
