Visor was up. Quick reaction by putting his hands up but would have been smarter to have the sheild DOWN. Got to wonder how much glass got in his eyers and face. Notice both hands off the wheel and steering with his knee. Fast Learner.

About 95% of tin top racers keep their visors up.unless required... too hot. Most frontal impacts will close it anyway

Helmet air systems help.....moisture becomes an issue on the visor as well.

A rider on a motorcycle hit a deer at TWS a while back. There are a couple of huge holes under the fence. Guy hit it at entry of turn 7 probably 120+..... got washed under rug so I never knew what injuries he had.

I do think there are dear bits in his trunk.

I used to crew for Don Barnes (Panoz GT) (okay only 4 events) and I just take for granted that everyone uses a cool suit and helmet air.
