High School Runner Points At God, Gets Team Disqualified
    http://www.webpronews.com/high-schoo...lified-2013-05

A high school track team from Columbus, Texas was disqualified when a runner pointed to the sky after crossing the finish line. The issue is being discussed as possible religious discrimination, though the reason given for disqualification was not based on religion, but because the gesture was deemed “an unsporting act”.

I’m not sure that Tim Tebow has even been penalized for this before, despite doing it all the time (though he has drawn taunting flags in the past).
Don't worry about what you can't change.
Do the best you can with what you have.
Be honest, even if it hurts.

This sounds like bullshit, where's the video? If it's a simple gesture like the article describes, then that's absurd.

I looked into this when Greg Abbott posted it on Facebook and the churchies went nuts, There's a rule that says you can't celebrate after a win and it includes raising your hands. While a bit retarded, I understand why the rule is there. Some fucking retards can't control themselves and decide to act like an ass and now all celebration is banned.

        Not religious discrimination.

IMO discrimination comes from when you make a decision because of a person's protected class (race, religion ect), not because of a rule that applies to everybody that happens to affect someone in a protected class.

Not according to the poor persecuted christians. If there's some rule telling them they can't do something, by god is religious persecution and it's some grand scheme by the "left" to stamp out and make christianity illegal.

That attitude annoys this Christian very much.

Are you talking about my attitude, or the "victim" card portrayed by a large number of christians?

It's the victim attitude that annoys me. I mean maybe some people are illegally targeting Christians/Christianity, but that is not always the case and loudly complaining about it as often as you can just makes you seem less credible for the legitimate instances of discrimination.

I haven't seen any cases where people are illegally targeting christians/christianity, but aside from that I agree with everything you said.
