Had stats on the radio this morning stating that over 56% of individuals polled are ok with the NSA actions as long as it keeps us safe.

          Stupid fucking sheep.

We live in society that is perfectly happy posting every detail of their lives facebook/instagram/twitter etc. etc. It doesn't really surprise me that most people wouldn't care about the 10% of their lives that they don't voluntarily put into the public domain on a daily basis.... As long as its the government what do they have to fear

Depending on who you ask 100% of the people living in North Korea love their government. The remaining 0% are serving life sentences in labor camps for something their distant relatives said.

Polls are never an accurate measurement, Fox news was showing a poll that said 59% were outraged, and 23% were ok with it.

Social media has exploded in the recent past several years. Prior to this NSA had to "watch" limited communication outlets in order to safeguard our country.
Now however since the Patriot Act the safeguarding has morphed into the scary entity that we are discussing.

The question for me is when does "safeguarding" and infringing overlap and destroy our civil liberties? It looks like it is a slippery slope and has gone way past "safeguarding".

Granted, those that intend to do us harm will take advantage of ALL avenues of communication to carry out their plots. Clearly over-site is needed here.

It can be argued that the Patriot act and the NDAA are the two most unpatriotic and fascist pieces of legislation to come out of our government in history. It's fucking sickening...

I'd add internment, FDR's live time monitoring of phone calls and Obama's enemies list
