  • Any Dodge dealer employees?

Thinking about updating my ram when we come down next time. Local dealer in Amarillo only has about 6 trucks. May make the trip this week.

Decided to drive to Rockwall Dodge today. Found a truck equipped like I wanted. After 30 minutes of mind games. Go to get in the truck and I hear the engine ticking from 10 feet away. Before I even opened the door I questioned if the truck had been inspected when it came off the delivery truck. I was already OUT at that point but I figured I would drive it to see if the new trucks drive better than 2015. Get in and EVERY service light was on. Dash looked like it was in Christmas mode or something, red and yellow lights everywhere. None of the switches for the traction control, air suspension, mirrors or anything would work. Like all sorts of electrical gremlins on a brand new truck. The sales manager was offended that I wasn’t interested in waiting for service to fix it.

Ew dodge lol. I'll never understand you dodge boys. Maybe it's the cheaper price. Anyway yeah they're the american Nissan. Friend's dad's newer dodge truck just ate it's crank. No reason really, truck only had 30k miles on it. Just.. goodbye crank... how little we knew ye.

The fake offense you see at every dealership has become a cliche. You don't like something retarded, or you're gonna walk, they'll try getting offended like it's some kind of sales tactic lol.

Same here. Dad was wanting a new truck to replace his 2015 Sierra Denali 1500 (great truck, but it had 110k miles and he wanted another one). He has always driven GM trucks with good luck, but I wanted him to drive the competition just so he could see.

He drove a new F-150 Limited and it was a nice truck. He liked it well enough. We then go over to Allen Samuels Dodge (off I-35W) and ask to drive a loaded Limited half-ton. Sales guy goes and gets the key and as we walk towards this brand new $70k truck, he remote starts it and all we hear is valvetrain rattle noise for a good 2-3 seconds before the engine gets oil pressure and it quiets down. My Dad and I look at it each other like WTF?

The truck drove nice enough and the interior was sweet, no warning lights luckily. Overall, decent impression, but that engine no oil pressure thing was pretty crazy on a brand new truck. How many years has Dodge had the 5.7 Hemi??!

Anyway, Dad ended up getting a pretty good deal on a brand new 2020 Sierra Denali with the 3.0 Duramax diesel (awesome engine!!). He loves it.

Bought one today from Richardson Dodge. Wasn’t planning to update my truck at all. However when I saw the trade in value of my 2015 with 100k miles....I decided to take advantage of the times! Got about 12k more than the trade in value was back in August. Hard to pass that up.

We were going to get a Mach E....but decided to wait for the GT.... I know if I waited until the MACH E GT comes out my truck would probably only be worth half it’s current value because it would be at 120k miles by then.

Love my '19 2500 Ram. Just hit 13k miles. Worlds better than my '16 leaky, no door closing F150.

We drove a Ford because the Amarillo Dodge dealers, have a terrible service reputation. But the Ford just felt cheap. Like sitting on cardboard and the steering has absolutely no feel to it. Totally disconnected from the road. Not to mention I just could not bring myself to spend 60K for a V6 truck. Very few 5.0’s equipped the way we wanted.

Love the Ram air suspension! Would not mind having a King Ranch Powerstroke or Cummins truck but just can’t spend that kind of coin and not be able to get it in the garage.

I’ve got a little under 500,000 miles on 2012 and up Rams and I’ve had exactly three issues outside of routine maintenance. I bought one knowing it had a seized lifter and needed a cam/lifters, and had to replace the a/c evap on 2 of them (one under warranty). I’m in an F-250 now but I won’t hesitate to buy another Ram, and I will have another. Your buddy’s half brother’s girlfriend’s sister’s experience is trash.

Yeah... friend's dad, known the guy my whole life, talk to him at least several times a year. He sold a 1990 F150 that he bought new, to get the newer dodge truck. Bet you wouldn't think it was trash if it had happened to you. Suddenly it would become very valid.

Also, you ever take a look at the JD Power reports?

The chip shortage is just putting the entire market out of whack. Used truck prices are going insane these days. I sold my Raptor for more money than I paid for it. Normally we’d be seeing $10K or more for new pickup discounts. I haven’t seen that for a few months.

I’m going down to just one car for a few months. Saving the money I made on the Raptor and the car payments so I can buy a Gen 3 Raptor at the end of the year. Or I may wait longer for the Bronco Warthog. Or I may,,,, who the hell knows. Maybe I’ll just say f’ it and get another Porsche.

Keep an eye on Biden's infrastructure bill. They're talking about changing the $7500 tax credit to a direct payment to the buyer of any EV. They are also talking about removing the limit on how many EVs can be sold per model to qualify for the credit.

Here in Colorado there is an additional $2500 tax credit on EVs. That would be a $10000 total tax credit.

I'm not really looking at an EV yet, but I have to admit, 480HP AWD with that instantly available torque sounds like a lot of fun.

But they still shouldn't have called it a Mustang. That is total bullshit.

Nissan makes some of the most reliable vehicles built, and were way ahead of their American counterparts in truck features for a while. They just don't update shit every three years, which probably helps with their reliability.

They should have called it a MusE tang.

Their smaller SUVs and cars using the CVT trans are all shit. EVERY one running through auction has a bad transmission.
