It's hard to say about the speakers w/out being there to hear them. To the 1080 question, you're not going to get 1080 res out of a sub 17" screen w/out payin out the nose. That also assumes that someone makes one.

Why would you perfer those? Just wadering.

I'd go w/ the Acer or either of the last two HP's I linked to.
